The Fib is a form of poetry similar to haikus, but based on the classic Fibonacci sequence.

... but I was disappointed last time when people didn't contribute many Fibs of their own. C'mon people, this is a comedy goldmine here! It's Monday and you hate your job; write some poetry!

here's a couple I did on another board.

gulp gulp gulp

i think i'll be needing new shoes

and because I thought I was clever...

I thought that this concept was brilliant. The Fibonacci Waltz. It's surprisingly pleasant music.

These simple syllabic parameters
Make play toys for poetic amateurs
They're fun for a bit
But they can't match the wit
Of the classic spondaic hexameters

yeah,
right.
You think
it's easy
to make these sound good.
You're so wrong about that wolfdog.

I
might
be wrong.
the last one
wasn't that tricky.
you just need to get with the flow.

I'm off now.
There's no stopping me.

Help me.
Please, Someone.
I can't stop myself.
Fibbonaci is killing me.

My watchword, my wintery shibboleth
Oh, daughter of frost,
Be I stressed or storm-tossed
I'll be strong in your faith unto death

At night subtle frights fix my mind
Am I the last one left behind?
Do we merely keep pace
In a sad rodent-race?
Oh, whither, whence, wherefore mankind?

there's
just
something
about that
two-syllable line
perhaps it should be optional

It's not as much fun
But it pays for the internets

I'm afraid the optional line
would reduce the skill and the time
If you miss out a beat
Then your poem's not complete
And we'll beat you up for your crime.
