My brother had a Hagstrom. It was around the same time (mid '70s) and I think it was also a Swede (rounded Les Paul-ish outline with 2 HB pickups). It was midnight blue and weighed a ton. I seem to remember he got it because that's what his then guitar hero, Jeff Beck, played at the time but I can't find anything to back that up (only Strat or LP) so I'm probably mis-remembering.

As long as we're doing this, I just got a new Jaguar Bass about a month ago and have played on every gig since--and I'm someone with eight basses!
