And I also watched The Colbert Report, and it struck me that the whole Miami college vacation scene is one of those things that reminds me that you are a foreign country.

Do any Americans watch that sort of thing and feel like it must be a whole other country over there?

(The pervasive political advertising you suffer is also very foreign. My politician's job is to do his frigging job, not fuck around.)

You can at least legitimately hassle your representatives. I'm not sure what a Canuck can do. Except hassle you guys. :-)

TDS and CS are both very Canadian shows in a lot of ways. We love savaging our politicians. Keeps them on their toes.

Is Metafilter down?

FFF, federal law prevents candidates from accepting money from foreign nationals, but you can still contribute to "non-election activity", so if there's a "Censure Bush" PAC they might be able to accept foreign donations for advertising on that matter.

You could always send his Senate office some flowers or something.
