I'm reading Accelerendo at the moment. I'm linked into the dead tree version of the book, but you can do the downloading on the internet thing with it too. It's astonishing how many new (for me) science fiction ideas are in it. Want a novel with self-aware alien 419 scams. You got it. [More:]

On a related conversational note. The Author, Stross pops his head up on metafilter now and again, and I vaguely knew him back in the late '80s.

I emailed him recently about him being on Metafilter too, what with us knowing each other 18 years ago, and he was all "Who are you." Man, that hurt. Here's me trying to toady up to a member of the netarati, and he has the temerity to not remember me. Me!
aw, you're a star to us, seany!

i haven't read that yet--it's good?

Spin, by Wilson, was really really good, if you're looking for a next book--very well done. The Making Light blogger recommended it.

(you know who disappointed me, bookwise? the boingboing guy)

Charles Stross is a brilliant writer. I'm a big ole fan.

It's worth reading for the slew of ideas. I'm not 100% convinced by the characterisation or the plot but it moves along briskly enough and it *will* leave you feeling future shocked.
I give it ***__ (3 stars)

Funny, I read Iron Sunrise just a bit ago, and started Singularity Sky on Friday. I like it.
