I'm in Love... →[More:]With this wonderful, new Martin D-15 guitar. I've waited years for this.

All mahogany, solid top and back, matte finish, and sounds both warm and bright. Each string is remarkably distinct. And it's light as a feather; I guess that's a Martin hallmark, light bracing and thin woods. Here's what I didn't expect: it smells so fragrant, like a new cigar box. I 've never had a brand-new guitar, so I never knew that it would smell that way.

This guitar hasn't been named yet. I'm thinking. It'll end up being something sort of personal and sentimental, I bet. But feel free to suggest something. All my guitars have had female names, so I won't diverge from that pattern.
