E-mail hosting. Anyone had any experience with companies who specialise in e-mail hosting? I have this bizarre fantasy that there's a company out there that can cheaply host my e-mail, have superb spam filtering, and do POP3 and IMAP with SSL.
TuffMail looks promising. Anyone tried that?

No, but I used fastmail for the three years. They were good. They're not as good as they used to be, what with GMail and rises in storage, all, but they're still good. I don't know if you get IMAP with SSL, but they do everything else. The price is USD 20 a year.

b.t.w. I still use fastmail at work. We route all domain mail traffic through a fastmail account for spam and virii removal. It works fantastically. I wouldn't give it up for anything.

The only reason I moved away from fastmail for personal use is because .mac accounts come with email, offsite disk and a groovy backup routine.
