OMG I am on a plane at 35,000 feet and I am posting to MetaChat. How cool is that? Now I know how my grandparents must have felt when they first heard radio. What a way to waste ten bucks per hour.

What are you flying over?
Newfoundland, I should be in Munich in the morning (Lufthansa 411).

My expensive hour will be up soon, and I really need to get some sleep or tomorrow's meetings will be just a blur.

Should I try striking matches near my shoe? Better, not I guess. It is a nonsmoking flight.

How's the connection speed/lag?

I know of people at internet meetups that post to forums with updates (or for the hell of it) about the meets on their PDAs/phones/&c.

I am so far behind the curve it sickens me. The other day I heard that they are planning to provide wireless broadband services in the trains here (I spend 2 hours a day commuting by train) and I nearly came in my pants. But the Intarweb on planes? That is just awesome.
