Bake Sale So I was thinking about having a bake sale because I'm broke and don't want to lose my house.→[More:]

How do I find a public place to set one of these up? Will I need a permit? Will I need some sort of 'save the chiilldruun' or 'support the troops even though you already do every 2 weeks when the government eats your check' reason to do so?

I don't plan on standing out there advertising falsely. I will have no problem saying I'm broke and I need cash, please buy pie.

How do I go about this? Any St.Louis mefites want to make cookies and help out if I can actually get this going?

If you've got any kind of location going, I suggest doing a yard sale/bake sale on your own turf. I guess it varies by location, but I don't think you'd need a permit. Heck, you could set up every weekend. In a public place like a shopping center, you'd need a permit, I bet.

Bring in a few friends if you can to beef it up, then send a press release to TV stations, your daily and alternative newsweekly papers in advance with some specifics (need to sell x amount of cupcakes in order to keep house/car/whatever).

I'm serious. They're always looking for interesting local stories. If just one of them picks it up you might be sold out by noon. You never know.

a supermarket might let you use their sidewalk if you make a good case--they tend to let all sorts of things happen...talk to a manager.

do you have anything to sell for real? jewelry? stocks? things? you can make more money faster with real stuff.

People, I am specifically asking about BAKE SALE only at the moment. When I post again about how destitutely broke I am and am looking for whatever I can do to make money other than sucking dick, then you can make other suggestions.
