This is a happy Friday thread. →[More:]
Today is the first day that it's been warm enough to wear one of the new skirts that I bought a couple of months ago and it turns out that it was the perfect flouncy factor to make walking up and down stairs fun. My rollerskates are also due in today and I have an appointment for a pedicure. And I've only got one more class for the week and it's with the crazy Spanish professor.

And I'm thinking that tonight should involve beer...and Baltimore/DC mechas interested in joining me?

Yes, we should (meet in Philly, give some notice for the DC meetup, meet at Antarctica in NYC; it's all good).

Unfortunately, this week my liver's felt pretty rough and I feel I ought to lay off the sauce for a bit. If I make it downtown without distraction, I'll stop in at the Antipode for a Shirley Temple.

This is a great Friday for a whole lot of reasons.

I thought my cat was on his last legs a few weeks ago. He's doing much, much better.

I've had various groupings of relatives staying here all week - mom, aunt, uncle. My mom and my aunt shop. I now have a leather jacket! And cowboy boots! I'd never have picked them out for myself. But I like them.

The relatives will be in LA till Sunday, so I'm relishing the quiet. I'm used to being the only human here and I'm still reeling from all the bustle.

I think I'll go see Richard III tonight at Stanford. It's free! (If you're nearby, you should come too!)
