Songs I Had In My Head Today →[More:]I am not allowed to listen to headphones at work. Because of that, I get songs stuck in my head for hours, and I have to wait until I get home to hear them to get them out of my system. That is, if I actually own them. So, when I get the theme to "Greatest American Hero" in my head, I'm shit out of luck.
Here are the songs I had stuck in my head over the course of the day at work (sorry, almost all of these are m4a format):
The Spy, by The Doors. I had this in my head when I woke up. I don't know why, since I haven't listened to it in months.
Cherry Blossom Baptism, by The Monks of Doom. This is the band that the rhythm section of Camper van Beethoven became after Camper broke up. Again, I haven't heard this in a really long time. I think it's just the weather.
4th Time Around, by Bob Dylan. No clue why this popped into my head, but after an hour and a half of "Cherry Blossom Baptism", I was ready for it.
Madeleine-Mary, by Bonnie "Prince" Billy. It was the weather. It was cold and overcast today.
World of Pain, by Cream. Believe it or not, I probably had this in my head simply because--at work--outside my window is a tree. (This one is actually an mp3).
Do You Realize?? by the Flaming Lips. I had this in my head because a friend gave me a copy of "At War with the Mystics", and I haven't listened to it enough to get anything from it stuck in my head. Here is the first song from "Mystics",
YeahYeahYeah Song.
Never Tear Us Apart, by INXS. I do not own this song. I had it in my head for several hours. Oh well. Such is the way of songs that pop into your head.
Swan's Splashdown. End of work.
(Somewhere in there were snippets of "
The Burning Sun Within Me" [the other mp3 of the bunch], by Granfaloon Bus, but I don't remember where it fit chronologically.)
What did you have in your head today? Again, apologies to people who can't listen to m4a files.
