Watching that, it suddenly occured to me that facial morphing works very, very well—better than much other morphing—because our brains are doing most of the work. We're exquisitely wired to see faces. Through the entire morphing, the few important facial cues are retained and so perceptually the change is seamless.

Wow... actually, literally scary (for me, anyway)! And sort of mesmerizing.
