Presenting the premiere of RADIO WOLFDADDY! Starting in about two thumps of a bunny's tail. This is the first of forty broadcasts to come. You'll have to guess what the common theme is! :-) Enjoy!
Uh, gotta edit the ID tags so it doesn't give the sekrit away ;-)

5 Minutes folks.

Falling in and then out of Love?

...that would be telling. There will be THIRTY NINE similar broadcasts over the next (insert undetermined time period here) so you'll have plenty of chances to figure out what the unifying theme is :-P

Glad you enjoyed!

Nice idea, keep 'em hangin.

Those songs were all from 1966. You've got 39 more years to go.

Whoops; 1965. I was off a year.

You know, on re-reading my last two comments they come across as unnecessarily (and completely unintentionally!) snide. As that was NOT my intention, please read them (in tandem) as follows, instead:

Hey! Those songs were all from 1965! And they were all great! That means you've got - wow! thirty-ninemore years of the coolest songs from each year to play! All right!!!

Okay, now I'm just making it worse, aren't I. I'll shut up now.
posted by yhbc 28 February | 21:36
Okay, you come thisclose to getting it, yhbc. Yes the songs are all from 1965. However, there's something else that ties those songs togther -- and the songs that I'll be spinning subsequently over the next 39 sets, and you'll get your chance to earn a cookie yet, commish :-)

Like I take anything you say other than in friendly jest! Lighten up buddy! :-P

yay! now come listen to my (hastily-thrown-together) set!

I yams, I yams :-)

...of course I only heard the last song. Sigh.

I love "what's the theme" radio broadcasts!

My guess:

All of the artists have slept with Wilt Chamberlain.

*bzzzt* Iconomy. But we're sending you home with some lovely parting gifts, including a year's supply of Rice-a-Roni, the San Francisco treat!

Hint: The connection is way more obvious than one would think. I'll be doing a 1967 set later today if there's any dead air. :-)

Oh cool - I'll be listening - don't forget to announce it! I just thought of an actual good guess: All of them debuted or appeared on the Ed Sullivan show?
