As is typical with EP, it's very speculative.

I thought this was interesting:

A study by the World Health Organisation found that natural blonds are likely to be extinct within 200 years because there are too few people carrying the blond gene. According to the WHO study, the last natural blond is likely to be born in Finland during 2202.

My paternal grandmother is a second-generation immigrant from Norway and is blonde and blue-eyed, but her husband was a bald man who had brown hair and eyes. They had six kids, and my dad, the second, and one sister, the fifth, are the only non-blondes. Dad was nicknamed "brownie" when he was young. His older brother had red hair, the two after him were blond and blue-eyed.

My sister and I have moderately dark hair and eyes (as do the two kids my dark-complected aunt, but the other four grandkids are blondes), but interestingly both of us were blonde to a late age. I think I was blonde until I was about five or so, but my sister's hair didn't darken until she was almost 11.

I've always sort of envied my blonde cousins. And I don't really look like I'm 1/4 Norse, though my grandmother is your typical second-general Norwegian immigrant who live(d) in Wisconsin and there's Norse cultural trappings retained here and there in my family. I've eaten a lot of lefse, but I have not nor do I intend to ever eat any lutefisk, if God should be so merciful.

Redheads, too? Because I know one whose lovely hair certainly distinguishes her. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!
