Around here it's not pancakes. It's Paczki Day. People start lining up before dawn to buy them.

Here in PA Dutch country it's Faschnacht Day. We were lucky enough to get to store just as they came piping hot from the oven. Mmmmmm......

I got paczkis on the weekend (at the Swedish (!) Bakery in Andersonville, Chicag'ans), and I'm having one today.

(The kids didn't realize they were supposed to be saved and ate half of them Sunday. Heathens.)
