Interesting idea for recruiting a group for urban exploration. The coaching in LARP-is terms leaves me to surmise that the expedition leader might not be all that serious about the endeavour.

When I was back from college for the summer, a friend of mine dragged me to a bunch of LARPs. Mostly rich kids who thought that Granville Island was "slumming" it and was risky/risque.

Same friend, in a subsequent summer, and I discovered and explored the area around the skytrain trainyards at Waterfront. Lots of homeless people, dense (and sometimes beautiful) grafitti, and a very strange sense of forgotteness. Lots of discarded injection drug paraphernalia, though.
