The unimaginable. On Friday I couldn't connect to *.metafilter from work. I had hoped it was just an aberration, but→[More:]it's still not working today. A tracert dies outside my building but still on the military network. Now, I'm also having problems with a friend's server, which is very unlikely to have been blocked, so I'm not convinced they're blocking mefi - more likely some type of routing problem. But, still, wah!

Someone tell me everything will be okay, quick!

I'm just bugging you mike. I am sure all will be fine in the end. Miko makes a good point about the breathing; I always feel better when I breathe.

yep.

I actually use lofi as the default from time to time. It seems to rest the eyes a bit more than the blue/yellow/white scheme.

Can you ping 70.86.84.162? If so it's not the network, it's just DNS. Set metafilter.com to that in your hosts file. This is a workaround we used to have to use before Matt got proper hosting.
