I have access to a very old, fairly valuable tenor banjo that I always was meaning to learn how to play. Which I never have, so my life has banjo in it, I just have no banjo in me!

Nope. Doesn't belong to me, a relative has it and offered to let me use it if I wanted to play it. He can't play it anymore because he crushed his thumb and has lost most of the feeling in it. It's a family heirloom basically.

He plays upright bass in a bluegrass band, and the banjo player is too loud. He's working on it, though.
