But I'm very nervous. My boss gave me a ride to work today, fer cryin' out loud. But I want to gooooo away from South Florida!!!

Financially speaking, I'm going to be much worse off staying here than leaving. I can't afford the cost of living any more, besides the other half million problems I have here.

sasshat, as a recently unemployed fella, I can say with real authority, DO IT! But then, it appears that you may have a decent boss. But cost of living hassles will never go away.

Sass, finding a place where you really love living will be like magic. There are no words to express how happy (and deeply, deeply, grateful I am - to myself!!) for leaving the small S.C. town I was living in when I was a little younger than you... And I left some other cities after that, but that was the clincher - the thing that really changed my life, and set me on my path. BIGTIME.

Now, I don't want to be all pushing, pushing you and stuff, not really having all the vital info... but do what you can, as well as you can, to get out.

I didn't actually do it all that wisely or well... but oh, my! *falls to the ground and kisses the earth*
