Disturbing facts about face transplant I hadn't heard about the suicides or the dog. Apologies if it's old news.

Wow, how creepy would it be to have the face of someone who committed suicide? I'd keep touching my face and wondering how awful that person must have felt to have taken such drastic measures :-(

Suicide seems to the common theme with this story. I'm also surprised they're letting her chain smoke, doesn't that interfere with blood vessel regeneration?

The fact that they put down the dog that saved the would-be-suicidees life just breaks my heart.

I will be surprised if she lives another 5 years. It does not sound like she is coping at all.
