Second Annual MySpace Stupid Hair Awards →[More:]It's amazing how much these people really do look like their superhero alter egos. I find some of the more out there looks quite neat, truth be told. But everyone on the Magic Grid of Bad Emo Hair seems pretty mockable.

Hah. The girl I work with (she's 17) has that exact same haircut - the one called "The Haircut". She calls it 'scene'. I call it "Nothing can be seen while all of this hair is in my face".

Full disclosure - I really like her haircut and am now going to her stylist...hee. My hair is long and layered tho. But the cut is very good!

It seems like a variation of the "skater's flop" that was the mainstay of all the alterna kids of the 80s. I sported a lovely floppy short bob with one extra long "tail" down the side of my face, which I braided and put a bow in. I was quite the demure skate betty.

yeah, jrossi, that's what I was thinking. I remember that haircut - and I still kind of like it. However, I'm happy to mock it too - I love the magic grid of bad emo hair, it is a thing of beauty and a joy forever.

Excellent. I love the grid of emo hair.

I had a variation on the skater flop my freshman year in high school. When a junior copied my hair exactly my sophomore year, I knew it was time for a change.
