Fuck, could Cornyn be any stupider? He's glad Alito won't support "special rights for people suspected of terrorism?"

So, uh, theses suspects have the special right to not be presumed guilty, John?

And Cornyn was (elected to a seat) on the Texas Supreme Court.
I like how a large part of the opposition to Alito hinges on the idea of "Big Government Conservatives," which is a phrase I've been using for the past few years to make my Republican interlocutors' ears bleed. I mean, seriously, they shit their pants to hear that, even though it's true. I mean, one minute you're talking to 'em, the next minute you say, real casual like, "well, to a Big Government Conservative like yourself..." and then the next thing you know, their eyes explode in flame and you're beating at their head with a towel to stop the fire.

If only I could say that to the president, he'd probably convulse twice and suddenly splash to the floor in a flood of sour milk.

Watch it -- that's my senator you're talking about! (And yes, he can be much, much stupider.)

OK, that was only about the second time I've ever actually "laughed out loud" at a post. Thanks a lot, Hugh... me being here in a crowded room at work, and all.

Texans are dumb. I know because I am one.

Happy now?

I ask you - Anyone know of any cool, free online calendars I can print out? || Jonathon "The Impaler" Sharkey for Minnesota Governor 2006
