Mecha Collaborative Mix CDs? What do you all think about trying to collaborate on some themed mixes? Someone suggests a theme in a post, then inside the thread, everyone contributes a song they think fits the idea.→[More:]

For example, I was thinking the theme Martini Music might make a fun mix, and to get us started I've uploaded a couple of songs that I think sort of suit this theme:

The Lushes - Drunken Guitar

This song is off the infamous Las Vegas Grind series of compilations featuring lounge bands trying to come to grips with rock and roll. These bands tended toward the crude and vulgar anyway so the results are often wonderfully nutty and occasionally surprisingly rockin' and tuneful, as if the bands were grateful for the opportunity to cut loose a bit.
