I'm getting my pulse in my face. Under my left eye. How do I make it stop?
I would google it, but whenever I google small things like this, I find out I have horrible diseases. The tip of my nose was buzzing one day, and you know what Google said I had? ALS. Frightening.
It's possible the sleep thing is an issue- I haven't been sleeping well for a week or two, and I'm not really sure why. Might be the weather, and its effect on the temperature in our house.
TPS: A friend of mine had the same type of thing - his persisted for weeks while he was trying to get a new job. Eye doctor told him it was nothing to worry about, just an annoyance that can be brought on by any number of stressors and in any degree.
My first answer aside, don't worry about it. Tics like that happen when you lack sleep, or are stressed, or are stressing out your body in some way (caffeine, pills, bumps, skydiving).
A buddy of mine in Japan (from Scotland) got a tic in his eye that wouldn't go away, went to a doctor who diagnosed him with MS, tried to no avail to get a second opinion (not really possible in Japan), said his tearful goodbyes, and went home sad and scared. When he went to the neurologist in Edinborough, he was told not to worry, nothing was wrong, he just needed rest.
Don't worry, you just need rest.
But if it makes you less stressed, get a second opinion.
God, I remember the last time I snogged someone to cure their pulsating eye tic. It didn't work, but I do love my son despite his giant pulsating head.
WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU LOSERS! SITTING AROUND HAVING TIME TO GIVE ME ADVICE ON MY STUPID PROBLEMS!!! I HATE YOU ALL!!! WHY DON'T YOU JUST CURL UP AND DIE??? I WISH YOU WOULD!
It is not your pulse. It is a South American Burrow Fly larva working it's way out of your skin. The eggs are so small that they can be inserted into a pore in your skin (typically while you sleep) and then the larva feeds until it is ready to emerge. HTH. HAND.
