So What Do You Think? Boy or Girl? We are heading in to the maternity center for the ultrasound where we get to find out if the baby bean is a little boy bean or a little girl bean!

Why all this fancy schmancy science to find out? Just dangle her wedding ring over her belly with a piece of hair, if it moves in circles it's a girl, if it goes back and forth in a straight line it's a boy.

Well the good news is that the baby is healthy and doing extremely well.

The other news (I'll leave it to you to decide if its good or not) is that we are having another little boy. The evidence was pretty well indisputable. Either that or we're having a three legged mutant monkey. Which would be kind of fun for about an hour.

Also, I came up with "Holden" as a potential name. Any thoughts one way or the other? I'm a big Salinger fan so there's that and I just think its a cool name.

Holden is a cool name, but be aware that Hollywood has co-opted it at least a few times and may again as a name for a young dissaffected character: Ben Affleck in "Chasing Amy" and Jake Gyllenhall in "The Good Girl." Also, the whole class may have to read and discuss the book in ninth grade. By that time, who knows. Just saying. But it is definately a cool name.

I like the name Holden, but it sounds an awful lot like Graydon, which I assume is your first kid's name? Maybe something that teachers are less likely to get confused?
