Whew. The dog's OK. Took out two feet of my parent's dog's intestine; said it had something in there that looked like an earplug (foam rubber).
She's not gonna die tonight.

Wow. A number of times when our little one was a pup I have found those orange and green things in my lawn after she got to them. I have been more careful since, but damn this is sobering.

Glad the dog is doing well.

Yeah. She's, what, like four now and this is the second time they've had to cut part of her intestine out (the last time, she got into some sort of carcass out by a pond nearby), and her pancreas had failed previously (due to a vacine reaction), so I'm really glad she's not dead (which is what the vet predicted based on how she had been vomiting and bloated).
