Though I gotta say, their assumption:

“sporting performance is likely to be a good indicator of fighting abilities”

is pretty thin.

Actually, that's doubtful, jon. Your right hook would be blocked by his dominant arm, the left.

(I've taught a number of righties lessons about engaging a lefty in a fight. Everything's reversed, whether you're fighting with fists, foil, or sword and shield.)

Woohoo, this lefty could out-fence you all! Well, assuming I knew how to fence. And I wasn't right-handed when it comes to sports. (Yup, writing, scissoring, etc. are with the left hand. Throwing balls, punches, etc. right hand. I can mouse with either. And throw darts with either).

I come from a lefty dynasty. Many more lefties on both sides of my family, immediate and extended, than righties. Because of this, my nickname in utero was "Lefty."

Oops, danostuporstar, I guess I neglected to say. I was, indeed, born left-handed, but my pre-school/kindergarten made me be a righty. So, now I write right-handed, but do lots of other stuff lefty (for example, as teece mentioned, scissoring).
