Because of the January crowds, I was afraid of not getting a second thirty minute treadmill, so I jogged a full 2.5 miles, walked, then ran out the three miles in 32 minutes. On a random incline. Then I DID get another treadmill and walked/jogged another 1.75. I know this doesn't sound like much, but I usually go slower. I went home with a sore knee and sore hips. This morning all that seems ok, but my back hurts.
I conclude, sadly, that A: I am old, and B: I need to loose five pounds, but if I can't sweat out the five pounds I actually have to go HUNGRY and count CALORIES and all, and that, to me, is just an outrage. The old thing is an outrage too.

I think I whacked out a hip flexor yesterday. I didn't stretch properly because it was raining.
True. To add to the misery, my calves are screaming from too many calf raises, and my triceps hate my guts for the dirty French Press I made them do yesterday.
Mrs. tr33 has started a new rallying cry for me - FIT BY 40! I have about three weeks to work with to get into at least better shape. Funny thing happens when you become home owners and dog owners and get married and stuff - you run out of time for the gym!
But no more excuses for me. Even if it meas going back to getting up at 4 to work out, I'm going to do it! Vanity, what tha hell be thy name??
