Ask MeCha Help me find some mac software to give as a gift.

Difficulty: giftee is not particularly technical, and as it's a gift, free software won't do.
How much do you want to spend? - And what are their interests? Audio Hijack is a treat I think. Not *too* techie. EndNote is great for students. How about an iTunes gift cert?

iTunes, no.

Giftee likes golf and cars, has diabetes.

how about the EA Tiger Woods golf game?

I dunno, I don't think the giftee would like virtual golf.

golfers tend to love golf games, though. especially if there is an off-season where they live.

maybe some kind of golf stats software?

The first site linked to in the askMefi, it's a travesty: all content is document.writed and the location is written to, in such a way that the different pages aren't added to the history. Completely un-navigable.
