The greatest extended jam in rock history (good sized file)[More:]Made more impressive by the fact that the primary man responsible admits that he was tripping his balls off as he played. On their best day, the Grateful Dead never made any music this intense (and I like the Dead). If this dosen't get you a-movin' and a-groovin', take your pulse.
Thanks!

I used to have a copy of the Woodstock soundtrack, and yes, it does fuckin' cook. Great drumming, especially.

Didn't get me movin or groovin.

*checks pulse*

Damn, I knew something was wrong.

That is pretty awesome. My aunt was at Woodstock and consistently cites it as the most transcendent experience of her entire life. Her musical tastes subsequently shifted, I am sad to report, and are currently more in the vein of Billy Joel and the Rent soundtrack.

Billy Joel's OK in certain doses (the earlier stuff, anyway) but I hate Rent on general principles, I went to a college full of theater majors. *shudder*

Actually though, even though I'm an obvious communist and dead... I really quite liked it.

OK, maybe you're not a communist, just a Trotskyite or something.

Also, I think our taste in music is pretty similar jonmc. Though I can't be certain. At the very least, there is some overlap. When are you going to do a radio broadcast, by the way?

He did... but sent it to someone else to play for him a week or two ago. I think I have the .zipped file at work. Did you want me to send it to you?
