IDF practical joke Helmet at the office: Veteran troops convince new recruit office ceiling unstable; army unimpressed. via Jewlicious
The veteran soldiers told the soldier that the ceiling of the room where he was working was unstable and was liable to collapse on him, and even backed up their story with impressive and convincing fake documents.

The soldier did not want to take any chances, and came to work with the helmet.
...
However, commanders are less amused by the episode, and have launched an investigation in the unit following a Ynet inquiry. The practical jokers may now find themselves doing a stint in a military prison.

So I guess this means it's okay to take off the body armor the guys in accounting made me wear.

The poor yutz. Will he ever get a date again?

Jail time seems very harsh for a practical joke. A commenter at Jewlicious makes an interesting argument, though:

"They damaged this soldier’s willingness to follow future instructions in a fast and trusting way. He will hesitate, second-guess, forever."

PS Why is "Lutz" in spellcheck but "yutz" is not?

As far as practical jokes go, man getting hit in the groin with a football is far funnier.
