I'm really proud of me →[More:]

So I've been swimming with my hard team since July (though we took August off, so . . .) Anyway, there are six lanes at our pool and we are separated so that lane 6 is the fastest and lane 1 the slowest. I've lead lane two since September, until tonight. Tonight, I was officially moved up to lane 3! Yay! I'll probably bounce back & forth for a while, depending on who else is swimming, but I'm moving up to the big leagues. This is an especially big move because lanes 1& 2 have a different workout and coach. So it is the majors.

Thanks guys. I just added up the workouts in my swim journal, and I've swam 192,000 meters in the last seven days, and approx. 218,000 in December. I think I have a problem. A delightful, chlorine-scented problem.

Awesome, dame. That's really great. Next time you visit the doomy tower I'll feel perfectly comfortable throwing myself into the East Rvier, knowing you could at least swim circles around me, shouting for help.

Maybe I should wait 'til summer to do that, though.

Well, the danger in the East River is the currents. And yeah, cold water will kill anyone. But I feel much safer on ferries in the summer now, knowing that if it capsized, I could probably make it to land.
