Stanley Williams, dead at 53 →[More:]I just heard some sad news on talk radio - Nobel prize-nominated peace activist/children's writer, Stanley T. Williams III, was found dead in his California home this morning. There weren't any more details. I'm sure everyone in the Metafilter community will miss him - even if you didn't enjoy his work, there's no denying his contributions to popular culture. Truly an American icon.

At least he'll go down in history as being the only "Nobel prize-nominated peace activist/children's writer" that murdered four innocent people with a shotgun then denied it until his dying day.
