09 December 2005

Prog Radio starting around 10PM EST. Playing tracks all longer than 6 minutes, most longer than 8. Prog rock for those who haven't got a life on Friday night.
Please note, this playlist is best on LOUD or you risk missing half of it. 4 hrs long. See you on the other side.

you're late!

Please, you can't Rush the Rock.
posted by Eideteker 09 December | 22:13
Yes, it's over 20 min in, and yes, we just started the SECOND TRACK. It's insanity, I tell you (though that was the longest one for the night, but we do have a few 13 min tracks later on).

I feel like I should be playing Dungeons & Dragons. I'll be taking things a little more modern in a bit, if you're scared off right now.

Harder stuff for about 1/2 hr, then into a mix of mellower rock tunes.

That last one was for my dad (Mask of the Great Deceiver). RIP, Dad.

Damn, I wish I was home so I could listen. (And, y'know, have a drink & smooch the missus & such.) Very cool to see "Astronomy" on the playlist.

I will totally rebroadcast this list, anytime, anywhere. I love listening to all these songs together (I never have!) and other people listening in is just a bonus! I'll either do it this weekend or next week after my Monday exam (possibly Tuesday?) or both, as I think I'm allowed up to 3 (2?) rebroadcasts in a 2 week period. Meanwhile I'm thinking up some good tracks for another playlist.

Artist info available on IRC, as always, for anyone listening in but not chatting.

Sorry I missed that. I could have used a hit of 1975.
