Meh. I'm soooo sick. *whine shiver* I'm certain it's bird flu. We're all frickin' doomed.
Oh shit. Time to bust out the moon suits.

Feel better.

*runs far far away*

repeat what I said earlier. Also, a fat cat sleeping on your feet helps.

Drinking hot "breath easy" tea, did hot emergen-C earlier, drinking water.

I've got (dry) shitake mushrooms marinating in balsamic rice vinegar blend with tangerines and green onions. Spinach salad and light pasta coming soon.

Have you visited the Metachat infirmary yet, loquacious? Gaspode's waiting for you in there, and she has soft blankets, board games and Jello.

I'm just now finally kicking the nasty bug I adopted to the curb, the unwelcome little bastard. It happened to coincide nicely with a major cold snap here in Denver. Sick with the flu and it's -10º F outside? What's that shit?

Is that all you've got, bird flu?

*bleeds and emits noxious fluids all over teece*

Hah! Share and enjoy!

Ah, ambiguous call out. I was calling out the bird flu, not loquacious. Hopefully I've already whooped the bird flu! ;-)

hey loq, thanks for bringing the birdflu to north america. If you'd like to know, I've already phoned the president and told him you're the carrier.

I'm worried, in this atmosphere of fear and heightened security in the US, about what will happen to moonbird. Will they send him to a bird detention camp? At least stavrosthewonderchicken is out of harm's way.

Is it bad that I'm losing sensation in my hands and shivering more and more?

You're gonna die. Sorry and all that. Best make your peace now.

If the birds got the flu, then what's in the stew?

/mf doom.

I always knew it was the birds that were going to kill us. Tiny little souless feathered lizards.

Awwww loq feel better and cuddle up to MeCha sympathy. It did wonders for me yesterday.

Update: Went home, bought cold-eze and sudafed. Made yummy chicken soup for dinner with lots of jalapenos and ginger and garlic. Drank peppermint and chamomile tea with honey. Did a steam inhalation. Went to bed early and got a good 8 hours (this happens approx 2X/year for me).

Objectively, still have sore throat and sniffly nose (not as bad thanks to sudafed) but *feel* a lot better. Thanks everyone!

Guh, well, I regained sensation in my hands and stopped shivering.

But I've been slipping in and out of sleep all night.

What do I keep dreaming about? Turn of the century Welsh mining methods and technology. I really wish I could stop dreaming about loud, noisy, dirty machinery and go somewhere nice and peaceful and sunny.

It's going around my office. I'm sure to get it soon. Maybe if I'm home sick sometime I can re-run my past MeCha radio playlists all day. I'll be looking forward to your cuddles and sympathy, though. You folks are a fuzzy blanket.

Yay, 'pode, glad you're feeling better-ish!

loq, when I was ten or so, I had the weirdest fever dreams of seeing and hearing that snowy static from the tv and being wrapped in layers of impossibly heavy cotton fluff. When I woke up, I was in the ER, hooked up to various things and coming down from 106.

I totally feel you on the creepy/irritating dream aspect. I figure it's your brain giving you that much more incentive not to be sick. That, or you inner consciousness is really just a whiny little bitch. Either way, many hopes that you heal quickly, big guy!

Get better soon, loq! And send some of that pasta salad my way.

Feel better soon, loquacious. And glad to hear you're on the mend, gaspode.
