MetaChat is an informal place for MeFites to touch base and post, discuss and
chatter about topics that may not belong on MetaFilter. Questions? Check the FAQ. Please note: This is important.
-24 °C here right now. This warmed me up with one look. I'm having a tough time navigating the site though. Is this an artist's site or is it just some place where people submit their stuff?
It's a communal gallery. It's hard to navigate (unless, presumably, you read Korean; wish I did). I posted about the site on MetaFilter and included some navigation help, but that doesn't seem to be available at the moment. I was disappointed there wasn't more response on the blue; I was bowled over by some of the stuff, and still am.
People on the blue never respond to the really cool stuff.
Actually, even on quirky or niche-y topics, I think mefites are typically very generous about doling out the "thanks" and "[this is good]" comments - so much so that you can get a little disappointed when it doesn't happen; but it is kinda silly to expect a pat on the every time you link to something.
I went to respond to the very cool stuff...but the thread is closed. :( Take solace that your efforts didn't go unnoticed Wolfdog.
Artsy stuff reallllllly never gets much comment. I can attest to that not dissuading people from checking out the link however. It was like 500:1 visitors:commenters --- just a little weird thing you see if you get posted to the blue.
[and I've just turned the aircon on. 26 deg C and humid...sorry for you all]
It's up to -18 °C and that's totally not right. Well the formula is right but using a negative temperature changes things a little (namely because adding a postive number to it brings the temperature closer to zero not further from it).
Speaking of... Check out megaconverter. Where else can you find out that two points of mignonette is equal to 13 points (typography), or five hekats is equal to 23,843.376 milliliters (ancient volume)?
The amount of chatter on a MeFi post has nothing to do with post quality. Hmm, there should be a converter for # of comments - # of useless, crap, bloviated comments / political content * C = FPP goodness.
