I don't keep track of that anymore, but I used to submit things to Disturbing Search Requests.

Jeez, I guess the puppie wins. But every month, and I mean every month, someone searches for the phrase "monkey love" and finds us. Why, I could not say.

I get a lot of people searching for nude pictures of random celebrities. (Which I don't keep online anyway.)
posted by goatdog 05 December | 16:27
Yeah, I keep getting searches for "Mariette Hartley nude". I have used those individual words, it's true, but I have no such photos and doubt very much that they even exist.
posted by bmarkey 05 December | 16:32
I've gotten searches for a naked Mariette Hartley too. How weird is THAT person?

(Although I did have a big crush on her back during her Polaroid days.)
posted by mudpuppie 05 December | 16:46
Pup, from the second line in that list I knew it was you :)
posted by nomis 05 December | 16:58
OK, you can always find me now. If you need to.
posted by Wolfdog 05 December | 17:05
This works, too. I rule the internets.
posted by Wolfdog 05 December | 17:11
I get mostly sensible search referrals, but occasionally my site is consulted with regard to such subjects as:

naked rituals
pig slaughtering
cats in love
deformed snakes
ridiculous pictures of houses
perfectly circumcised cocks
actors that have died
headless woman pictures
latin for arse
sex in a crowded train

It's sometimes sad the way that people seem to talk to their search engines as if they were people: the query 'what makes a person cold unfriendly and distant' brought one unhappy-sounding searcher to my site, while some other worried googler wrote 'what happens if a dog eats the squeeker of a toy'.

Last week I had the #1 hit for <cow army>. No longer, apparently.
posted by grouse 05 December | 17:59
I used to be #1 for "saccades" when I still had that site. I still get the occasional hit for Foreign Robot Porno Story.
