Fuck yeah! I just finished (another) grant application. Too late to send it to NIH, but it doesn't have to be sent till Monday. I'm off home to get drunk on some NZ wine I've been saving for this very occasion.

I was just telling jonmc last night that amoung the reasons you are a cool coyote, is the fact that you admit that you INTEND to get drunk and drink beers as nightcaps.

And it's done. She makes it with mayonaisse, Nance's sharp & creamy mustard, and lotsa black pepper. I put it on a cilantro (sorry, bunnyfire) & jalapeno tortilla with some sundried tomato-jalapeno cheddar shreds. Bliss, baby.

The first thing I noticed when I moved to the US of A was the shocked faces when I said "cunt" which I think is a lot less shocking in NZ.

"Cunt," is a big no-no in the US. It's veiwed as the gender equivalent of the "n-word."

Which is a shame, because "cunt," is the perfect word for so many people of both genders.

Well, the weird thing (and I don't wanna speak for all NZers, cos maybe it's just my town, my age, whatever) is that mainly boys rather than girls are called cunts.
