Today at work the steering column of my car froze I can drive forwards and backwards, but not turn. Who ever heard of such a thing!
I ended up getting a ride home from the 'office lady'

And like a week or so ago my car door got frozen shut and about 80% of the handle broke off I just have a little nub left that I can use to unlach the door, but not really apply force to open it with

I've had this car for 7.5 years and drove it in the winter with no problems before. Talk about weird.

The Johnson-Wankel rod between the rack and pinions and steering wheel just needs a good rogering. I'd suggest AskMetafilter for further help, following up with a good rogering in MetaTalk.

That happened to me once. It was the racket pinion steering. Or something like that.
I am not a car person.

It could also be the power steering. Another car had a leak and when it was low on fluid I would have trouble turning.
