Yet another question about MP3 players [More:]My daughter wants one for Christmas. I'm trying to figure out the Nano based on the not very informative blurbs at the Apple site - does it come with a charger? She doesn't care what brand of player it is, as long as she can get an armband that it will fit snugly in, and she wants a small player like a Nano or a Dell Ditty (wow - who comes up with the names they use for their MP3 players...the Dell DJ and the Dell Ditty?). So what's a good small player that comes with a charger and buds, and has an armband I can buy as an accessory?

Semi-related question - anyone have any of these speakers? I want something inexpensive to use in my sewing room to entertain me while I make stuff.
From the Nano specs page:

Charging via USB or FireWire to computer system or power adapter (sold separately)

Looks like it comes with a cable to charge it from the computer, but not directly from a power socket.

It doesn't (expand 'Box Design and Contents').

It means that you need to have your computer on to charge the Nano, which does seem like an awful waste of power.

Ah thanks, guys! I didn't read that, obviously.

Does Apple still sell the mini? I can't find it for sale on their site.

It was discountinued in favour of the Nano. If your daughter plans on using it while running, the Mini mightn't be the best suited anyway, because of the moving parts. Though if she has an armband it mightn't be too bad.
