I don't know if I can stay long anyway because my mama's a-makin' me dinnuh, ya know, but I just had to give the radio mechanism thing a whirl -- I digs the music, though. Great stuff, matildaben.
I feel like I should be in chaps and a superhero mask, whipping paintings off the wall and panes out of the window with every eighth beat.
http://www.slendermeans.com/. Local Seattle band. We saw them open for the New Pornographers the other night. They do a kind of retro-brit-pop thing like Franz Ferdinand or Maximo Park, with intelligent lyrics and catchy melodies.
This Fastbacks song is from 1994. Takes me back; my best friend turned me on to this Seattle band, and we would drive around listening to it in his VW beetle.

(And hey Fastbacks, that takes me back too! I once saw them with Ken Stringfellow and a bunch of other amazing locals at a fundraiser showcase in your town, and it was a great show.)
Fastbacks! Damn I sorry I missed this! And that track is from their best album (although "I'm Cold," and "Old Adress Of The Unknown," are even better songs).
