Corey Haim or Corey Feldman? You must choose. Inside. Give reasons if applicable.[More:]I choose Haim because he tried to sell his teeth on ebay.
Corey Feldman, because he has badass sideburns, and he knows how to wear a hat.

This is a great question.

Separating the two is like separating Hydrogen from Two Parts Oxygen.

Oh, that's an easy one. David Faustino!

Second gaspode. Both Coreys are in Lost Boys but Haim is a wimp while Feldman saves the day. It's Feldman all the way!

Feld-MAN! Feld-MAN! Feld-MAN!

Feldman. He seems about five milligrams more together than Haim. He also seems to have grasped that the 80's are over.

I fucked 'em both. So, neither.

But what about a Corey sandwich? Does that appeal to you at all?

That's a lot of mayo.

If you had asked me this fifteen years ago, I would have answered Haim all the way. He seemed cuter and less hairwax/zipper/jackets-with-epaulets intensive than Feldman. But now, after watching the True Hollywood Story on Haim, I'd probably go for Feldman. I'd take both of them over creepy Kirk Cameron. At least Haim wouldn't try to convert me or make watch one of those tacky Left Behind movies.
posted by LeeJay 22 November | 19:26
Also, Feldman was in Goonies so that gives him another edge over Haim.

posted by LeeJay 22 November | 19:30
Feldman was also in Time After Time and a Friday the 13th movie. This Haim fellow is just pathetic compared to the Feldman!

Still, I choose neither.

LeeJay, call me crazy, but I have a weird respect for Kirk cameron (even though I find his beliefs nutty, to say the least). The guy had everything a young man could want-money, women, fame, and he walked away from it. That's commitment, man.

That said, I say we throw both Coreys in jail with (reverent pause) Lemmy as a cellmate. That'll shut 'em both up.

Oh I don't begrudge him his beliefs. He seems sincere enough. I just personally find him creepy.
posted by LeeJay 22 November | 20:08
Oh, sure. It's just that your usual celebrity Christian converts after he's gotten into a bind like addiction, divorce or a jail term (not that begruge anybody religion if it helps get them through the day). He didn't. That sorta grabbed my interest a little.
posted by jonmc 22 November | 20:12
That sure is not sarcastic. I was agreeing with you. Just didn't want a isunderstanding.
posted by jonmc 22 November | 20:13
I begrudge him his beliefs. He should believe in magic. He should believe the children are the future. He should believe in love. He should believe that Feldman would kick his scrawny ass, then sell his caps on eBay.

Anyone see the E True Hollywood Story about Haim that ended with him showing off his "anger art" and playing his keyboard in his mom's apartment?

It was so deeply sad that I couldn't even mock it. And I like the mocking.

posted by jrossi4r 22 November | 20:49
I watched it. It was disturbing. It was one of those times when I thought, you know, this really shouldn't be on TV. I should not be seeing this. This is personal, sad and none of my business.

Anyone see the E True Hollywood Story about Growing Pains? Alan Thicke recounts a conversation that (paraphrased) went something like this:

Kirk Cameron: Teevee dad, I need some advice. I don't know if I can still do Growing Pains, because, thanks to my newly-hatched religious beliefs, I find it morally offensive.
Alan Thicke: Listen, Kirk--this is a heartwarming family sitcom on ABC. We're part of the TGIF block, for crying out loud. If our show is too raunchy for you, maybe you ought to start looking for work outside the entertainment industry.

Next thing you know, Kirk was doing the Left Behind movie.
posted by box 22 November | 21:50
Of course Alan Thicke unleashed his hideously untalented real life son on the world, so he may not be the best guy to ask...
posted by jonmc 22 November | 21:53
Yeah, Leejay. That's how I felt. All schaden. No freude.

Saw the Growing Pains one, too. The part of that that got me was when Kirk threw a hissy fit about working with the girl who had been in Playboy.
posted by jrossi4r 22 November | 22:26
See, I didn't fuck Kirk. That's why.

Still, I don't choose him either.
posted by WolfDaddy 22 November | 22:40
Haim--no question. (Feldman is the Bonaduce of his generation)
posted by amberglow 22 November | 23:14
Feldman. Because I had the biggest crush on him when I was younger, and because he's Jewish. : )

My roller derby nickname is Scorey Feldman, so my choice is obvious. Plus, he was the voice of Donatello, appeared in several Troma films, and got to feel up Meredith Salenger. Flawless victory.
