I don't get the MeCha shoutout thing I want to get them, but I don't.→[More:]Which is odd, because my favourite English Beat lyric is "Give me a shoutout, you bastards".

I don't get the joke thing. I want to get them, but I don't. Which is odd, because my favourite English Beat lyric is "I know I'm joking, I like to joke".

Same band. But by the time the first (English) Beat album came out in the states Paul Collins already made an album of power pop under the name the Beat. So the "English" part was added to the Dave Waekling band.
