Ah good idea. We also need a word for when someone makes a comment that's amusingly appropriate for their username. It happens quite a bit. My favorite example of this phenomena is grabbingsand's comment in this thread. I guess you have to have seen the video to appreciate his comment, but it was a good one.

I'd coin my usual commenting style "jonmcediating."

It usual consists of an eloquently outraged response to an overstated position, then a slight cooling down after the commeter clarifies, followed by self-effacement and an attempt at explicating comprehension of both sides of an issue and an attempt at finding commonality.

You're using sentence fragments, and "prodding" would have been a better word than "poking". Also, there's no hyphen in "one liners". Also, you should have used and interobang at the end of the first phrase.

So weird. I admit clicking over to that thread to see the comment but I paid no attention to the actual post or the video linked in it. Then tonight I am reading through my del.icio.us feeds and come across that SICAF video and think, "That's amazing! Wonder if it's been posted on Mefi yet." So I go searching for it and find...that thread, of course, And grabbingsand's comment which I realized I'd seen before...here on Metachat just days earlier. And the circle of life continues. I realize this is probably only an amazing coincidence if one is high. Fortunately my brains works like that all the time, drug-free.
