The Search. The Truth upholds the fragrant Earth and makes the living water wet. Truth makes fire burn and the air move, makes the sun shine and all life grow.[More:]

A hidden truth supports everything. Find it and win.
I found a golden ticket, but i think the truth's getting more and more lost everyday...

Hugh, thanks for this. It's played at the edges of my mind since you posted it.

It's from the heart of the Ramayana.

I take that back -- as I read it, it is the heart of the Ramayana.

I've been having trouble explaining myself this past week. Right now, too. I'm still really sad.

I'm gonna dance around the outsides for a while here until I can regain my voice.

Lemme tell you a story first; it's short:

I went to a store in the East Village called the Dress Shoppe (or the Durga Dress Shoppe, if you read the sign carefully) that sells all sorts of Indian things aside from dresses. The proprietor is an amazing little man with boundless kindness and an ear-to-ear smile.

Anyway, what happened isn't important, it's what he said. "Truth is beautiful. You should say that a couple times every morning, and you will lead a happier life."

Truth is beautiful.

It is, Hugh, it really is. Your post was a much needed and appreciated echo and reminder.

I'm holding you close in my heart, as I know many others are, my friend. May those loving and healing thoughts help to bouy and comfort you.

Thanks, Frisbee Girl. I can't think straight for more than a few minutes at a time, and it's starting to bother me. But it's getting better, and it actually makes my time at work easier (I don't care about what I'm doing). Hell, I left work yesterday afternoon without telling anyone, and nobody seemed to mind today.

I appreciate your thoughts, though I don't really know what to do about it. Maybe I'll just love you from afar and smile when I think about your kindness.

See? It's working already.

Thanks again.
