Jed's Other Poem An incredibly clever music video for a song by the band Grandaddy, made on an old Apple II+ computer. Awesome. (embedded QT)
Oh, thanks for this boringpostcards. I saw this a while back and loved it and then lost the link.

is the audio glitchy for anyone else? the original track is kinda lofi, but not noisy like that.

It didn't sound glitchy on my end. lofi, yes. I've never heard the original track though so I can't really compare.

It's a music video and a quine!

Poignant, surprisingly so -- I really love it, especially as a piece of fan art. It's on the front page of MeFi right now, too.

That's probably where the friend who sent it to me saw it, melissa. D'oh! :D

andrew cooke, I saw your request for other "similar" bands over on MeFi... have you heard The Shins? I'm actually a fan of theirs, not so much of Grandaddy, but they are definitely in the same vein.

andrew, it also brings to mind the Flaming Lips from the Soft Bulletin and Yoshimi albums.
