Deodorant for Girls Girls, what kind of deodorant do you use that does not make sweat stains?
I've been using secret platinum recently, in both gel and solid varieties. It works 80% of the time (in dry heat).

Wait, I don't know if I was clear. I am trying to avoid the yellow stains on my white tanktops. I don't care if they get wet.

2) Avalon Organics

I use Mum, been using it since I was teenager, talk about brand loyalty. The ad slogan for this product years ago was "I can't get by without my Mum.

Rotten lousy pit stains. I've yet to find anything that keeps them at bay. But the Chlorox Bleach Pen works for awhile. (On the clothes, not on your pits.)

My understanding, and this is based on a half remembered rumor here, is that the yellow stains aren't because you're a filthy sweaty dirty girl, but rather a residue left over from the reaction of bleach with the deodorant.

Not yellow ones. Deoderant ones tend to be white. Yellow ones are caused by personal funkitude (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Clothes inside out. High temp, pretreat and bleach to remove. Unfortunately also shortens clothing life.

Dove is the bomb. It works and doesn't stain.

I use Arm and Hammer.

If you're getting a lot of yellow staining, try routinely drinking more water.

Here's a nice thing to try on already stained clothes: Color the stain or discolouration with a crayon.

Crayola® makes a washable crayon. I have a pack with 16 colours. You can blend or mask a spot, and be assured that the crayon won't persist; it washes out.

Dude, I am so not funky. I spend half my life in freaking chlorine. I will drink more water & buy a crayon & some Dove deodorant though. Thanks all.

dont use anything with aluminum sulfate (which is just about every brand). So that leaves crystal stick orrrrrr toms organic.
Its the shit(without the shit smell)!

Aluminum sulfate gives you cancer, btw...
but so does everything these days.

I've had good luck getting those yellow stains out of cotton by soaking the shirt in vinegar for about an hour, then washing it normally. You may have to repeat the procedure several times for set-in stains. (I've never tried it with synthetics.)
Needless to say, it will make the shirt wear out sooner.

Another (belated) vote for Dove. I use the "Invisible" type.
