What do they call you at home? Inquiring minds want to know!
bob. or tobbo (tah-bo)

Jay. Sometimes Theodore (but when they use THAT NAME, it's on).

Today I was greeted with a wildly enthusiastic cheer of 'DA, DA, DA, DA, DAAAAH!' Best part of my day.

Al. Obviously.

Or inebriated.
posted by YouCanCallMeAl 07 November | 22:59
Depending on who's doing the calling, it's "arf", "meowr" or "hey you".

mosty "loser"

They call me Flipper, Flipper...

I have about 40 million nicknames:
Biscuit, Shooshy, Aunt Grilled Cheese, G, Shumway....

I very, very rarely hear my real name spoken. Seriously. It's so rare that it jars me to hear it.

you can call meal.

My mother used to call me Clyde Michael when she was angry at me. Which would make me laugh, because I don't know where Clyde came from. Which would make her angrier.

I believe you have to actually specify the irc protocol in the link ...

I'm called "Uncle" these days.

Uncle Sean.
When I was a kid, they called me Bumfluff.

Pärlemor (mother-of-Pearl) is the recent most popular... ;) Else I am called "åskling", a pun on älskling (darling). My mother has tenthousand nicknames for me, from Charlie to fjant (silly), and my grandmother calls me Johanna.

"mikmik"... A play on my name, which is pronounced more like "meek" with the "ee" softened.

"squeak" ...This has to be said in a way that doesn't seem to be making statements about bigness or tallness.

"balla".. Short for "ball o' fire".

"mummy" "mussi" "muy linda madre" "muuuuuuthur!!"... Depending. =D

When feeling affectionate, my Scottish Grandmother used to call me "Tarrama Toots" or "Toots Matarra" I've no idea why, maybe its from an old song or something. The rest of the time I was a "wee midden" or a "wee besom" or the "wee yin" or worst of all a "sassenach". Its no wonder I have a weird accent.
posted by Tarrama 08 November | 08:37
"Homey".

My father called me J.J.
posted by JanetLand 08 November | 10:44
My cats call me "meow" which I hope is Feline for "mum". It's probably something worse.

The mister calls me "baby", "love(y)", "darling" (yes, he is awesome; no, you cannot have him). Or "Deb" when he wants to irk me.

My family calls me "Debi" except for mum who calls me "Deborah" and my oldest bro calls me "Sis". I was "George" when I was growing up (I have four brothers and that was my "boy" name, I guess).

Booey Pie.

My brothers call be Andge, because of the older of the two's soft /r/, which turned Andrew into Anjoo (I call him Peedge in response). My mom hates it, for some reason.

Sometimes Pickle. I often call the missus Picklebutt.

Most people call me Penks, but my Grandma calls me Danielito, which I hate, and a friend of my parents calls me Junior (I have the same name as my father), which I really, really hate.
