Frontiers of Science! This /. link discusses a gravity wave detection experiment, which seems to me reminiscent of the Michelson-Morley experiment of yore. To think of all the cool E-M phenomena we now understand! What other sorts of things are on the forefront of exciting science these days?
As people pointed out in the Fark thread, there is a big difference between gravity waves and gravitational waves. Gravity waves are easy as hell to detect: look at the sky on a cloudy day. See waves? Yep, you guessed it.

Gravitational waves, on the other hand...
