Santorum to Imus: "Your wife called and says she wants a threesome."

It never fails, does it? Sooner or later these guys always show what they've really got going on inside them.

Seems pretty clear what he was saying. Why misrepresent what he says when we can just watch it? This wasn't even a funny thing.

He was clearly recounting a story that Imus's wife called to set up a teleconference, and Imus's wife said she "wanted a threesome." As Santorum made clear, there was a pregnant pause when Imus's wife said "I think I used the wrong word." No big deal at all.

So, the guy didn't say he wanted a threesome with Imus's wife. He wasn't showing repressed sexual desires. He was merely recounting a lapsus linguae by Imus's wife.

Out of the fertile ground to attack the guy on his record, why try for such silliness?
