Just the phrase, "gender jihad," makes me think of: gender intifada, gender coup, gender putsch, gender junta....

I think this is probably a good thing, but it's hard to say. Depends on the caliber and sincerity of the demagogues in charge (and their degree of demagoguery v. public-spiritedness). Also on the willingness of the male powers-that-be to be either brutal or conciliatory.

These are important questions and it's good to see them brought up without the urging of the Great Crusade for Western Cultural Hegemony. These women prove their power to themselves; they have nothing to prove to the West. Thanks for the article.

I've never read the Koran, but is it sexist like the Bible is? Is it interpretation of the words, or is it stuff added later by people?
